Merry Heart

I thank it, poor fool, it keeps on the windy side of care.

Cocker Spaniel

Posted by Katherine Putnam on March 26th, 2011

“In some ways, you’re far superior to my cocker spaniel.”

First: I know this is a cheap trick, backdating the post to the wedding day…but I’m sticking to it regardless.

Second: The quote may seem inappropriate in relation to a wedding and marriage, but watch White Christmas and I think you’ll understand that I mean my husband and all of those lovely people who worked so hard for our wedding are FAR superior to any cocker spaniel. Regardless of whether or not you get it…regardless of if the people in question get it…I know that it simply means they’re wonderful and I love them all to adorable little pieces.

On with the post then.

The wedding day was both the longest and shortest day of my life. It seemed to stretch out to infinity and I was exhausted at the end of it, yet it all seemed to fly by in a wonderful blur. We received so much love, help and support from our friends and family that I still can’t believe or even catalog all that was done for us. Instead of trying to list it all, or even recap the day, I’ll simply let pictures I lovingly stole from facebook tell a small portion of the story. Remember to hover over for descriptions.

(Quick aside: many thanks to Clem, Adam and Lisa for not only for being participants in the wedding party but also for taking pictures and hopefully not minding that I’ve borrowed them…)

And there it is, a brief overview of the most fabulous, wonderful day. Our friends have taken such fantastic pictures; I can’t wait to see what Ceylon Studios came up with!

Cheers,

Katherine Elyse
