Merry Heart

I thank it, poor fool, it keeps on the windy side of care.

“Oh my darlin’, oh my darlin’, oh my darlin’ Clementine…”

Back with another neurosurgery prayer request for the Lindquist family. Yes, another. Remember that whole to-do with Josiah having a large abscess in his brain? Well, tomorrow his sister Abbey will undergo brain surgery to remove a large benign arachnoid cyst from the side of her right cerebellum. This cyst (which is the size of a clementine) has been growing since she was in the womb, but they did not know it was there until quite recently, when she started having ringing in her ears. Former ENT employee plug: tinnitus can be nothing except a nuisance, or it can be the symptom of a much larger problem. So if your ears are consistently ringing, it’s a good idea to get it checked out, just in case.

Moving past my poor attempts at healthcare advice and back to the main, important subject: Abbey goes into surgery at 8:30 am tomorrow (Tuesday, December 13). Please pray for Abbey, her family, and the physicians and health care professionals who will be serving her tomorrow. Pray for strength and peace for Abbey. Pray for the successful removal of the cyst. Pray that she will emerge from her surgery as miraculously unscathed as Josiah was from his. Pray that she will be kept safe from any and all risks or complications. Pray that the outcome of this surgery would glorify God.
